TEAM
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia, as
a principal donation recipient, and with the aim of
realization of the Project “Control of Tuberculosis
in Serbia through the Implementation of DOTS Strategy
and Outreach Services”, organized separate project unit.

The
expert team making up the second part of the Project
unit has been selected from among the members of the
National TB Commission of the Ministry of Health of
the Republic of Serbia:

Coordinator
of the Project is obliged to report regularly on work
of the Project Unit to the Minister of health, the HIV/AIDS
and Tuberculosis Projects Coordinating Council as well
as the donor, the Global Fund to Fight against AIDS,
Tuberculosis and Malaria, either directly or through
UNOPS, as local representative.
National TB Commission was established by a decision
of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia
on 11 June 2004 with the following tasks:

Establishment of an optimum approach to prevention of
tuberculosis and proposal of adequate measures in the
preventive approach to tuberculosis and complications;
- Establishment of an optimum approach and proposal
of adequate measures with a view to rationalization
and bringing up to date of tuberculosis diagnostics
and complications;
- Defining optimum approach and proposal of adequate
measures with a view to rationalization and bringing
up to date of tuberculosis therapy and elimination of
major problems;
- Preparation and realization of basic principles of
the system of education of both health professionals
and patients in the field of tuberculosis prevention,
diagnostics and therapy;

Preparation of a proposal for working out a national
strategy for fight against tuberculosis;
- Preparation of a proposal for a good clinical practice
guideline for the disease, and
- Coordination of projects relating to the field. |
